Exit Fees?

You’re just thinking of moving to a lifestyle village, why think about exiting now?

The big reason is financial. There are many different ways in which exit fees may be charged and they can differ greatly in their amount.

Retirement Villages generally charge 3% per year capped at 10 years (30%). So if you sell a $500,000 home after 10 years, you’ll be paying the village owner a whopping $150,000 fee, leaving you with just $350,000.  

Other lifestyle villages charge a fee of up to 18%. So if you sell a $500,000 home after 10 years, you’ll be paying the village owner a substantial $90,000 fee, leaving you with $410,000.

At El Caballo Lifestyle Village we charge a fixed 7.9% sales and marketing fee on the sale price of your home when sold. To the best of our knowledge this is the lowest in the industry. If you sell a $500,000 home after 10 years, you’ll be paying just $39,500, leaving you far better off with $460,500 in your pocket. 

And don’t forget, your Water Rates and Shire Rates are paid by the Village Owner saving you thousands.

Not Ready to Move Just Yet?

That’s okay. For most people this is a big decision and not one to be made lightly. There are many reasons why you may be looking now but still a couple of years away from being ready to move.
